Medicare Part D Changes – 2025

As you should already be aware, there are significant changes coming to Medicare Part D plans beginning in 2025 as a result of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), including:

 

 

  • New annual spending cap of $2000 on out -of-pocket prescription costs.
  • Elimination of the Coverage Gap or donut hole.
  • Cost sharing responsibility shift in the catastrophic phase.
  • New monthly payment option known as “smoothing.”
